Only a man with vision, such as Dr. Ivo Djinovic, was able to recognize the importance of tissue culture laboratory in a small country like Serbia. The creator of the most famous Serbian hybrid tomato, onion and pepper varieties did not stop working with selection of new plant species. The success that Elephant Pepper had helped to create “Serbian brand” is the desire and dream that comes true in Superior.

Initial successes in cloning cabbage gave him strength to continue working and to start building one of the most modern laboratories in the Balkans. Planned capacity was 15,000 glass vessels which give about 100,000 plants per round. Soon he found a better way for utilization of space so the number of plants doubled.
In addition to the commercial part of the proliferation of parental pairs of hybrid cabbage, laboratory work has a scientific aspect. Various tests of cloning, especially fruit, allowed to find the best possible conditions for growing young plants. It is in these first experiments we came up with an idea to copy aronia (lat. aronia melanocarpa).
Our plants in the laboratory are very soft, coming out with formed tree and roots, where are grown in ideal conditions with moisture, temperature and light dosed in strictly defined timing. Therefore, the plants spend some time in special substrate containers in greenhouses with obscure, computer-controlled ventilation and irrigation. This allows them to adapt to external conditions and to grow in line with temperature that is in the open.
Upon completion of the preparatory period, the seedlings are transplanted in pots or go to the nursery where waiting for their final owners.
